[ARCHIVED] Reminder - Residential Yard Waste and Large Loose Brush Collection

With a possible summer storm season ahead, the City of Allen wants to remind residents of current service options available for the collection of yard trimmings or large loose brush.

The City of Allen offers service to residents for the collection of yard trimmings, which are picked up weekly on your designated trash day. Allen composts all yard waste for beneficial use. Tree and brush trimmings must be tied into 4’ bundles, weighing no more than 40 lbs., secured with biodegradable string, twine or rope for collection.You can learn more about the guidelines by following the link below.

The City also offers a once-a-month service for residents having a large amount of loose brush not in excess of 3 cubic yards. Call CWD at 972.392.9300 Option 1.

There is also the DIY option to bring your brush and yard trimmings to the Texas Pure Products Wood Grinding Facility at the Custer Road Transfer Station. The Custer Road Transfer Station is open Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
