Allen City Council has set August 13 as the first public hearing date and August 27 as the second public hearing date regarding the proposed budget and tax rate for fiscal year 2014. The budget and tax rate will be presented for adoption at the September 10 council meeting.
The proposed budget maintains or enhances the programs and services identified as priorities in the City Council's strategic plan without an increase to the city's tax rate. The 2014 fiscal year total combined budget revenue plus beginning fund balance equals $232,600,324. The total estimated expenses are $174,374,544.
