FEB. 28, 2023 - City Council approved new amendments to Allen’s Sidewalk Maintenance Ordinance that includes a new financial assistance program for qualifying Allen homeowners.
The ordinance splits the cost of neighborhood sidewalk repair 50/50 between applicant homeowners and the City.
The updated ordinance adds a new program to assist applicants who earn less than the National Median Family Income. For these qualifying applicants, the City of Allen will now cover 75% of the cost of the sidewalk repair instead of 50%.
