Allen Police Department (APD) is proud to congratulate Sergeant Michelle Peel and Corporal Andrew Winter. Both were promoted on July 18 and are excited to serve Allen in their new assignments.
Sergeant Michelle Peel
Sergeant Peel joined Allen Police Department after serving in the US Army. During her career at APD, she served as an Investigator assigned to the Collin County Rural Child Abuse Task Force. Subsequently, Sergeant Peel served in the Wylie-Allen Child Abuse Task Force, as a School Resource Officer, and in the Patrol Division, both as an Officer and Police Corporal. She is currently an APD Recruiter and RAD Advanced Instructor and has previously served as a Field Training Officer and Hostage Negotiator.
Sergeant Peel holds a Master Peace Officer license and is a TCOLE Instructor. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, as well as an Associate degree in Arabic Language. She has received various awards and commendations, such as the Chief’s Sworn Award, Investigator of the Year, multiple Team Excellence Awards, and was named a Congressional “Hometown Hero.”
Corporal Andrew Winter
Corporal Winter graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and he started his law enforcement career with the New York City Police Department. He was hired by APD where he holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certification and currently serves as a Field Training Officer and member of the Drone Unit.
