[ARCHIVED] Stage 3 Water Restrictions

Stage 3 water restrictions effective June 1. Landscape watering will be limited to once a week through Oct. 31 and watering is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Residents must water on the day specified for their neighborhood. See the additional information link at the end of this posting to access Stage 3 restrictions and the water schedule map. Designated water days might change moving from Stage 2 to Stage 3.

In addition to Stage 3 provisions, all restrictions from the Water Conservation Plan and Stages 1 and 2 of the Drought Contingency plan apply.

As in the past, there will be active code enforcement to insure that the City meets the 10% water reduction goal mandated by the North Texas Municipal Water District. This goal is set for all cities served by the district and meeting this goal helps to sustain water supplies for basic needs and emergency response during periods of extended drought.

Until Lake Texoma water supply is returned to normal, NTMWD may continue in the Drought Contingency and Emergency Water Response Plan. Visit NTMWD.com to learn about the Texoma to Wylie WTP Pipeline Extension project and other strategies to address water supply issues.
