MAY 27, 2022 - Council approved a Specific-Use Permit for the development of 16 townhome units at 100 W. Boyd Drive, located in Allen’s Central Business District.
Each unit is approximately 2,833 square feet. The first set of units on the western side will face Butler Drive. Units on the eastern side will face the DART right-of-way. In the design proposal, Butler Drive will be converted to concrete, and parallel parking is added adjacent to the townhomes. Boyd Drive also will be replaced with concrete, and a new alley will connect from Coats Drive through the center of the block down to Boyd Drive.
The building plans show approximately 28-foot-tall buildings made of brick, stone and stucco. Building elevations include bay windows, front porches and second-floor balconies. The landscape plan incorporates open spaces and amenities for townhome residents.
