City of Allen delivered 258 pounds of peanut butter donations to North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) following the Spread the Hope donation drive Sept. 1-30.
Held each year in September, the campaign helps create awareness about food insecurity in North Texas. City employees led an internal drive this year and collected a peanut butter tower totaling 3,292 ounces (or 206 pounds) of donations. Sweet!
Mayor Fulk hosted a public-facing peanut butter drive as part of his August 2020 Charity of the Month designation for NTFB. In addition to physical donations, donors had the option to make a virtual donation of 10, 15 or 25 jars at a time. The public drive collected 833 ounces (or 52 pounds) of peanut butter, and the virtual drive closed with a total of $340 in donations – 68% of the overall goal!
Thank you for helping Spread the Hope to local families and neighbors. You can learn more about North Texas Food Bank at ntfb.org.
