Entryway Feature Repair
Current entryway features are experiencing disrepair throughout each structure at Hightrail Drive and Jupiter Road. General repairs need to be made in order to maintain the integrity of the feature and to enhance its life span. The City proposes the following recommendations to enhance these spaces:
- Repair brick and replace with new mortar
- Apply sealant to cracked areas to maintain structural integrity
- Lightly power wash structures to enhance appearance
Signage Replacement
Cottonwood Bend has seven entryway features, five of which are in need of enhancements to either fully replace or install missing lettering to existing signage. The City proposes the following recommendations to enhance these spaces:
- Install new signage at each Hightrail entrance
- Replace missing lettering at Bethany Road entrances
- (Optional) Apply protectant to all signage to enhance longevity
Landscape Removal and Replacement
The integrity of landscape beds dissipated after February's ice storm that destroyed much of the plantings within Cottonwood Bend's beds. Both landscape beds at Hightrail require removal and replacement of new plant options. The City proposes the following recommendations to enhance these spaces:
- Remove existing dead plantings
- Mulch and soil beds with updated product
- Install new drought tolerant and low maintenance plant choices
