Allen residents can weigh in on the City’s proposed tax rate and budget during upcoming public hearings.
The proposed tax rate is not to exceed $0.4829 per $100 of taxable value, which is a decrease of $0.0021 from the previous year’s budget. The actual tax rate voted on by City Council will not exceed the rate as proposed by the City Manager.
Citizens can comment on the proposed budget and/or property tax rate during public hearings conducted as part of the City Council meetings on Tuesday, Sep. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Allen City Hall (305 Century Parkway). As part of the public hearings, highlights of the proposed FY2021-22 budget will be presented.
