One of the three resident drop-off pits at the Custer Road Transfer station is closed through the end of April undergoing concrete repairs.
During this period, residents visiting the facility on Saturdays may be directed to drop off their residential trash at the facility tipping floor (located inside the Transfer Station building). Although this will help keep drop-off wait times down, residents should expect longer than typical wait times for waste disposal during this construction period.
Residents may consider using the Plano Parkway or Lookout Transfer Stations that are not as busy as the Custer Road location. More information on these facilities, including their locations, are available on page 10 of the City of Allen Trash and Recycling Guidelines.
