Cyclone Aluminum and Steel, our electronics recycler, consistently recycles almost 97% of collected materials. Cyclone removes all metals and recyclable materials, leaving very little waste that must be sent to the landfill.
According to the EPA, consumer electronics represents between one and two percent of the municipal solid waste going to the landfill. But did you know that recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the electricity used by more than 3,500 US homes in a year? And for every million cell phones we recycle, 35 thousand pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold, and 33 pounds of palladium can be recovered.
