A red oak tree, which is in decline due to disease and fungi, will be removed by City of Allen Urban Forestry on Tuesday, August 13 next to Allen Public Library.
The tree is located north of the library off of Allen Drive. The tree removal is expected to take several hours, during which the sidewalk will be closed. The portion of Allen Drive next to the tree may also be closed for a few minutes while the tree is taken down.
The tree will be replaced at a later date outside of Allen Public Library.
