Temporary delays will lead to smoother traffic flow at one of Allen’s busiest intersections. Beginning the week of October 8, a city contractor will start construction of a new right turn lane from westbound McDermott Drive to northbound US 75. Crews will relocate utility lines, remove eleven existing trees and rebuild sidewalks and driveways during this project.
Drivers should watch for digital signs with lane closure information and other important messages. Work is expected to be completed by January 2019.
