Tree Removal at Glendover Park

Glendover Pecan Tree

A pecan tree, which has died, will be removed by City of Allen Urban Forestry within the next two weeks by August 24 from Glendover Park.

The tree has died from old age and a common disease called Ganoderma (root rot).

The tree removal process will take a few hours, and the area immediately surrounding the tree will be closed off during the removal process, including possibly a portion of northbound Scottmansman Drive next to the tree. The rest of the park will remain open while the tree is being removed.

For questions and more information, please contact City of Allen Urban Forestry at 214.509.3330.
