Many City of Allen facilities will close or observe limited hours during the Memorial Day holiday. For questions about schedules not listed below, please contact the facility directly.

• Allen Animal Shelter: Closed Memorial Day
• Allen Community Ice Rink: Closed Memorial Day
• Allen Event Center Box Office: Closed Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29
• Allen Public Library: Closed Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29
• Allen Senior Recreation Center: Closed Memorial Day
• City of Allen Municipal Complex (including Municipal Court): Closed Memorial Day
• The Courses at Watters Creek: Open Memorial Day. Book a tee time.
• Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium: Open 1-6 p.m. on Memorial Day
• The Edge Visitor Center: Closed Memorial Day; skate park open normal hours
• Ford Pool: Open Memorial Day
• Joe Farmer Recreation Center: Closed Memorial Day

Community Waste Disposal will not pick up trash, recycling or yard waste on Memorial Day. Collection will slide one day, ending with Friday’s collection being picked up on Saturday. Please bring bins and yard waste to the curb by 7 a.m. to guarantee pickup.

In honor and recognition of all of our fallen service members, the flag of the United States will be flown at half-staff until noon on Monday, May 29. The State of Texas Flag and City of Allen flag will also be flown at half-staff during this time.
