Mayor Stephen Terrell and the Allen City Council cordially invite you to the dedication and ribbon cutting of the Historic Water Station Trail at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1.
The Allen Historic Water Station was recently restored and made accessible to the public through park improvements by the City of Allen after being threatened by record-breaking floods. The location is a Texas State Archaeological Landmark that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The restoration project included a destination bridge that overlooks the Old Stone Dam, a recreational walking loop by the Historic Water Station and interpretative panels with historical information.
Event parking is at Allen Station Park (1120 N. Cedar Dr. Allen, TX 75002) with a short walk under Exchange Parkway to the event location. Refreshments will be served.
