[ARCHIVED] Fall Fun with the City of Allen

Fall Events in Allen

From spooky movie nights to costumed open skate, you’ll find plenty of ways to celebrate autumn with these events:

It's finally beginning to feel like Fall outside and what better way to enjoy the breeze than by watching a movie in the park? The Allen Parks Foundation Allen Parks Foundation will host a free Movie Night in the Park on October 16 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Twin Creeks Park. Join us for a showing of the feature film, Night at the Museum 2. Free popcorn and water will be provided and attendees are welcome to bring your own refreshments, just no alcohol please.

If you’re already missing summer pool days, grab a swimsuit and towel and head to Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium for a dive-in movie on Saturday, Oct. 24. Swim or float in the pool while Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” plays in the background. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for kids ages 3-17.

October 31 isn’t just Halloween; it’s also Arbor Day. You can pick up a free tree sampling at Evans Elementary from 9 a.m. to noon. Make sure the kids dress up for the costume contest, because winners will receive an extra tree.

The Halloween fun continues at Allen Community Ice Rink on Oct. 31. Wear a costume and receive free skate rental for the two-hour Halloween skate, beginning at 11:45 a.m.
