ACTV recently received nine first place government programming awards from the National Association of Telecommunication Advisors and Officers (NATOA). Awards included Overall Excellence in Government Programming for the fifth consecutive year.
Other first place award categories also included: "Texas Stampede Longhorn Cattle Drive" (Event Coverage), "PLAY!" (Children/Young Adults), "Rec X - The EDGE" (Interview/Talk Show), "2012-2013: The Year In Review" (Profile of a City), "Community Emergency Response Team" (Public Safety), "AEC Recycling Campaign Animation" (Visual Arts), "Dallas Sidekicks @ AEC (Event Promotion) and "Allen History According to Flula" (Use of Humor).
NATOA's annual Government Programming Awards recognize excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies across the nation.
