The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host an in-person public meeting with a virtual option to gather feedback on the proposal to reconstruct and widen State Highway 5 (SH 5) from Farm-to-Market 2786 (FM 2786)/Stacy Road to Spur 399 in Fairview, Collin County.
In-person attendees may visit at any time during the two-hour timeframe, no registration required. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place.
These materials will be available at keepitmovingdallas.com/SH5Fairview for the virtual option, which is not live and can be viewed at any time starting Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. to Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 11:59 p.m. Those without internet access may call (214) 320-6244, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process.
All comments and mail must be submitted and postmarked by Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, to be included in the public record.
The proposed project would transform 2.67 miles of SH 5 from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane urban divided curbed roadway (6-lane ultimate) from FM 2786/Stacy Road to Indian Springs Road and a four-lane divided curbed roadway from Indian Springs Road to Spur 399. The proposed improvements would include curb and gutter, shared-use paths on both sides of the roadway, intersection improvements, and left-turn and right-turn lanes at designated locations.
