KAB Community Events
Keep Allen Beautiful hosts a variety of community events each year that are designed to benefit the environmental and beautification goals of the organization. Several of the events are hosted in conjunction with annual educational activities and often include opportunities for volunteers to participate in community beautification efforts.
These events are promoted through a variety of City communication channels including AllenNews.org. APRIL & NOVEMBER | Electronic Recycling DaysKeep Allen Beautiful and the City of Allen provide a safe, environmentally-responsible way for residents to dispose of unwanted or obsolete computers and small electronics twice a year at the Great American Cleanup in April and at Allen Recycles Day in November (see event details below). APRIL | EarthfestEarthfest is a community celebration of the great outdoors. This family-friendly event features hands-on environmental activities, nature walks, bird watching, wildlife presentations and more. Join our Earthfest Facebook Page for updates. |

APRIL/MAY | Great American CleanupThis is the largest cleanup event in Collin County! Residents can drop off computers, household goods, cardboard, shoes, eyeglasses, unwanted medicals and more. Items will be reused or recycled if possible. Paper shredding services are also available. City employees are on hand to help unload items. SEPTEMBER | Educator ExpoThis year's Educator Expo will be held on Tuesday, September 24, from 4 to 6 PM. It is a come and go event. This event gives educators an opportunity to learn about the free educational programs offered through the City of Allen and local partners. They also have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with exhibitors that specialize in specific TEKS requirements and can customize lesson plans for in or out of the classroom.
