Rentable Meeting Rooms

The Allen Public Library has two rooms available to rent by Allen community groups, Allen residents and local educational and non-profit organizations.  Library and City-sponsored meetings take priority.

Meeting Room

  • Seats up to 40 people without tables and up to 25 with tables
  • $25 per hour (or portion of an hour), with a two-hour minimum ($50 minimum)
  • $50 refundable security deposit* if no food is served, or $100 if food is served

Board Room

  • Seats 10 people at a conference table
  • $15 per hour (or portion of an hour), with a two-hour minimum ($30 minimum)
  • $50 refundable security deposit*, no food allowed in the Board Room

*Security Deposit is refunded if room has not been damaged or no additional cleaning is needed.

Civic Auditorium
Seats 287 and features a stage with various curtain backdrops, professional audio/visual equipment and theatrical lighting. For a complete list of available features, see our brochure.

Group Study Rooms

The library has four group study rooms that are available for use free of charge. Study Room usage is intended for study, reading, tutoring or related activities that will not disturb others. Study rooms are reserved for those 16 years of age or older.

  • Reservations are accepted up to one day in advance. 
  • Time limit on rooms is three hours.  This is the maximum allowed per person or group per day.
  • Must have an Allen Public Library card
  • The owner of the Library card must be 16 or older and must remain in the study room for the duration of the reservation.
  • Reservations are made in half hour increments. Start and end time of the reservation must be on the hour or half hour.
  • Reservations will be held for 15 minutes.  If the reservation holder has not claimed the room by 15 minutes after the original reservation time, the reservation will be cancelled and the room made available to others.
