Citizens Fire Academy

The Citizens Fire Academy is a ten-week program that gives residents an opportunity to learn more about how the Allen Fire Department operates and is organized. The Academy is each spring at the Ronald Gentry Training Center inside Central Fire Station. Participants experience:
  • Demonstrations of emergency operations
  • Fire and life safety training
  • Riding along with on-duty firefighters on emergency calls
Completion of the Citizens Fire Academy will provide an in-depth understanding of the department, but is not to be confused with a fire service training academy for future career firefighters.
