What could be better after a long Monday than spending the evening with family over a picnic dinner on the lush, fresh grass of the Joe Farmer Recreation Center Amphitheater, enjoying live music filtering through the evening air? How about being able to do that on Mondays for four weeks? Concerts are held during the summer at the Joe Farmer Recreation Center Amphitheater.
The music ranges from classical, country, contemporary pop hits and more. Thanks to the City of Allen and the Parks and Recreation Department, all Summer Sounds concerts are free. The concerts begin at 7 p.m, and ground blanket seating is preferred so that concert goers of all ages can enjoy the best line of sight. In-N-Out will provide free burger meals (hamburger/cheeseburger, chips and drink) to the first 1,000 attendees on June 4, June 18 and June 25.
