The Neighborhood Watch program is a partnership between residents and law enforcement to help keep neighborhoods safe. You do not have to be experiencing problems in your neighborhood to start a watch program. In fact, many programs are started to reduce the chance of problems developing in the future.
Knowing Your Neighborhood
No one knows a neighborhood better than the people who live there. A police officer, not being familiar with your neighbors, may not notice something unusual such as newspapers not picked up, back gate open, etc. Neighborhood Watch participants know to call our non-emergency line, 214.509.4321, to report this.
