Why "Save" is the better option when downloading:
- Streaming the audio book while it downloads significantly increases the download time
- The audio book file does NOT delete itself when the license expires so it must be deleted manually
- Choosing "Save" lets you select a folder you have created on your computer to save these downloads in, so you can easily find the expired downloads to delete
*How do I renew?
- You are permitted one renewal
- Log in to your NetLibrary account and look at "Checked Out Items"
- Click on "Download this eAudiobook"
- Under Options, click on "Renew your checkout for 21 days"
*I'm having problems, what do I do?
I got the message “We are unable to issue a license to play the audio book on this computer because a license has already been issued for this audio book on another computer. Please use the computer you used to originally open the file in order to listen to or transfer the audio book.” Can I still listen to it?
- You received this message because the license for the audio book is on the computer where you originally opened and played it
- You can get a license to play it again on another computer by renewing the audio book on the computer where you want to play it
Why doesn’t the audio book download, even though I get an acquiring license message?
- If you have an older Windows Media Player version the download appears to be working. Windows Media Player shows “acquiring license,” but eventually you get a message that you don’t have a license to play the audio book
- You need to download a newer version of Windows Media Player
Where can I find more help?
- The NetLibrary site has extensive help on each page as well a Help tab at the top
- Call the library's Reference Desk 214.509.4905
