life of its users by supporting their lifelong learning and information
needs.

A welcoming place to inspire the mind
History
The Allen Public Library opened its doors in 1967 as an all-volunteer
organization and became a City department in 1971. It now has a collection
of approximately 135,230 books, recordings, videos, CDs and 154 periodical
subscriptions.
