Career Opportunities
We have a variety of career opportunities available throughout the year at the Allen Police Department. Background Investigator, School Resource Officer and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) are just a few examples of the many rewarding careers that we offer. Candidates receive salary and benefits while attending the Police Academy. And in addition they receive paid vacation and holidays, life, health and dental insurance. We also participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System, offer in-house TCLEOSE training and certification pay.
If you are scheduled for the next police exam, it will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Ereckson Middle School, 450 Tatum Dr. Allen, TX 75013. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and instructions will be given promptly at 8:00 a.m. No one will be admitted after 8:00 a.m.
Out of town applicants are responsible for making their own overnight accommodations. All travel related expenses will be the responsibility of the applicant.
