The Allen Fire Department consists of a Central Fire Station and four sub-stations. A fourth sub-station or Station #5, approved by voters in the 2007 Capital Improvement Bond Election, opened January 2012. The station is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified facility.
The Administration Division of the Allen Fire Department is headed by Fire Chief William Hawley. He oversees the financial aspects of the department such as preparation of the annual budget, monitoring and accounting for departmental expenditures, maintenance of department response statistical data and records administration. The fire department includes an
Operations Division and a
Prevention Division. The Operations Division delivers both emergency and non-emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days year. The Prevention Division includes public education, enforcement and emergency management.
