Welcome to the Allen Public Library, a welcoming place to inspire the mind

The first day of summer is not officially until June 21, but summer comes early to the Allen Public Library! Our Summer Reading Clubs and Programs begin June 10. We have summer reading and prizes for kids, teens, and adults. In addition to our Summer Reading Clubs, we have lots of exciting programs for all ages this summer - everything from crafts to games to family movies!

Library Closed for Independence Day - July 4
The library will be closed on Thursday, July 4 for Independence Day. The library will resume normal operating hours on Friday, July 5.
Crafternoon - June 21 at 2:30 p.m.
In the Children's Program Room. For ages 3 and up. Stop by the library and make some art! This is a come-and-go program.
Upcycled Crafts - June 26 at 3 p.m.
In the Children's Program Room. For ages 9-12. Come design new creations out of old stuff! Space is limited to 60.
Sci-Tech Discover Center: Wow Show - June 24 at 2:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
In the Auditorium. Recommended for ages 3 and up. The first show will be at 2:30 p.m. and the second show will be at 3:45 p.m. Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before each show.
