Jr. Americans Summer Hockey Camp
The Jr. Americans Summer Hockey Camp will follow the basic principles outlined by the American Development Model (ADM). All on and off ice sessions will be structured using ADM guidelines, will focus on age-appropriate learning and will provide players an environment in which they can reach their fullest potential and most importantly have FUN.
Cost: $199 per player | $99 per goalie (10U, 12U only, limit 6)
Age Divisions: Mite 8 & Under, Squirt 10 & Under, Pee Wee 12 & Under
Power Skating
This four week program will focus on the development of powerful strides, explosive acceleration, backward/forward skating speed, explosive stops, starts and turns, edges, balance and lateral movement. Program is subject to cancellation if fewer than 8 players register per age division. Youth program is offered to children ages 7 – 14 (see 2013-14 USA Hockey Season Age Classifications).

Cost: $59 for four 30-minute sessions
Schedule: Friday 6:15 – 6:45 p.m. (May 31, Jun 7, 14 & 21)
Puck Handling & Shooting
This four week program will focus on improving stick handling, puck control, puck protection, deking skills, forehand passing and back hand passing skills. The program objective is also to improve shooting technique, accuracy and velocity. Sessions will cover age appropriate shots including the wrist shot, backhand wrist shot, snap shot and slap shot. Program is subject to cancellation if fewer than 8 players register per age division. Youth program is offered to children ages 7 – 14 (see 2013-14 USA Hockey Season Age Classifications).

Goaltender Development
Led by Steve Silverthorn (Allen Americans) and Lindsey Minton (University of New Hampshire), this four week program will teach the fundamentals of the position and help each goaltender develop a personal identity that will translate into game success. Limited to four goaltenders per age division. Goaltender program is only offered to youth currently ages 10 – 17 (see 2013–14 USA Hockey season age classifications). Program is subject to cancellation if fewer than 2 goaltenders register per age division.

Jr. Americans Youth Hockey Program (JAYHP)
With USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) — which promotes the integration of station training and small area games into youth hockey — we can raise the level of creativity among players, increase player participation, and create a positive environment for kids to play, love and excel. This spring and summer the Jr. Americans Youth Hockey Program will follow the basic principles outlined by the ADM. Sessions will be structured using ADM guidelines and will focus on age-appropriate learning, provide players an environment in which they can reach their fullest potential and most importantly have FUN.
Cost: $149 per player per 4 week session

Youth Beginner Hockey Skating
An 8 session semester course within the Allen Academy of Skating Learn to Skate program that teaches skaters the basics of hockey skating: hockey stance, window wipers, glide 2 feet, glide hop 2 feet, forward swizzles, 2 foot mogul ski, 2 foot slalom, 1 foot balance, hop on 1 foot, glide 1 foot, tight turns, snow plow stop, t-push.
Cost: $88 for eight (8) 25-minute sessions
Class Schedule: Tuesdays 5:45 – 6:15 p.m. | Thursdays 5:45 – 6:15 p.m. | Saturdays 10 – 10:30 a.m.
First Strides Youth Learn to Play
Pre-requisite: Learn to Skate (Beginner Hockey)
The First Strides class will teach youth skaters the FUNdamentals of ice hockey (skating, puck control, shooting and passing) through various drills, personalized instruction and small area games. Skaters are required to complete Beginner Hockey Skating before enrolling in First Strides. Enrollment in Advanced Hockey Skating while participating in this program is highly recommended. Full equipment is required. OneGoal Equipment packages are available to rent to use for the duration of the program.
Cost: $113 per player for eight (8) 60-minute sessions
Class Schedule: Saturdays 1:15 – 2:15 p.m.
Mini Biscuits
Pre-requisite: Learn to Skate (Intro to skating)
The Mini Biscuits class will follow USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM). USA Hockey has embraced the idea of developing youth hockey skills by encouraging players to participate in smaller cross-ice games. The cross-ice hockey program enables each player to participate more in game play and ultimately develop at a more rapid pace. As such, sessions will be structured using the ADM model and will focus on age-appropriate learning and provide players an environment in which they can reach their fullest potential and, most importantly, have FUN. The Mini Biscuits program is open to boys and girls 4 to 6 years of age. Full equipment is required. OneGoal Equipment packages are available to rent to use for the duration of the program.
Cost: $113 per player for eight (8) 60-minute sessions
Class Schedule: Saturdays 1:15 – 2:15 p.m.
Youth Advanced Hockey Skating
An 8 session semester course within the Allen Academy of Skating Learn to Skate program that expands on the basic hockey skating skills that are learned in Beginner Hockey Skating: hockey stance, glide hop 1 foot, tight turn, forward c-cuts, forward crossovers, c-cuts: swizzles backwards, backwards c-cuts, backwards crossovers, control stop, hockey stop, v-starts, side v-starts, double leg backward stop.
Cost: $88 for eight (8) 25-minute sessions
Class Schedule: Thursdays 6:45 – 7:15 p.m.
Youth Battle Camp
Players will learn and develop the skills of Positioning and Angling, Stick Checking and Body Contact and will be taught how to win battles for loose pucks safely and effectively while respecting the game and their opponent. A combination of small area games and 1 v 1, 2 v 1 situations will be utilized to teach these concepts. Open to Mite (7-8 years), Squirt (9-10 years) and Pee Wee (12-13 years) aged girls and boys.
Cost: $99 for eight (8) 45-minute sessions
Class Schedule: Saturdays 2:15 – 3 p.m..
Allen Americans Youth Hockey Association
Looking for competitive play? Then the Allen Americans Youth Hockey Association may be the team for you! Advanced skills are needed to play at a more competitive level. The Allen Americans Youth Hockey Association offer teams at the A and AA levels from Squirt through Midget Major. Please check out the

Additional Hockey Programming
Stick Time (All Ages)
Stick-time is designed to give players the chance to practice what they learned in their hockey classes or just play around in their hockey gear and equipment. Stick-time also provides an opportunity for players to practice their skills one-on-one with a coach. Sessions are limited to 25 skaters on a “first-come-first-serve” basis. Open to all ages, unless otherwise indicated as below.

Stick-time Schedule
12 & Under Stick-time is designated only for participants that are 12 years of age and younger. One (1) coach, parent or guardian (age 18 years and older) may accompany a youth player on-ice during a “12 & Under Stick Time” session as long as the focus is providing individual skill instruction to the youth.
13 & Older Stick-time is designated only for participants that are 13 years of age and older.
Individual Skills Stick-time is designed for players to solely work on their hockey skills. Scrimmaging of any kind will not be allowed during “Individual Skills Stick Time”.
