Parks, Trails & Natural Areas
The City of Allen enjoys a thriving local park system that provides residents with the ability to enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. The City’s park system is classified into four park types depending on size and use. Reference each park classification to find out more.

Notice Regarding Stacy Ridge Park
Evidence of nesting Cattle Egrets, a protected species at the state and federal level, has been observed by City of Allen Parks and Recreation staff in an area of trees at Stacy Ridge Park (Country Brook Lane). As defined by both the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Chapter 64 of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code, any disturbance of the rookery is prohibited. There can be no deterrent or disruptive measures taken by anyone, including City staff and residents, from this point forward at Stacy Ridge Park.

Notice Regarding Celebration Park
Allen Parks and Recreation Department is utilizing preventive measures to discourage a repeat migratory bird settlement at Celebration Park. Last year the five acre wooded section of the park adjacent to Angel Parkway was closed for over six months as a large population of Cattle Egrets nested.

For public safety purposes, the forested area(s) may be fenced and closed to the public until the potential Egret breeding season has passed.

For more information on both of these alerts, visit the Migratory Bird Information page.

Rental of Park Pavilions
Pavilion and group amenities at the various parks can be rented in order to secure a specific time and date for a birthday party or special outdoor gathering; otherwise these areas are available for use on a first come basis.

Master Planning
Planning for parks, trails, greenbelts and open space continues to be a priority as the City reaches build out. You can view the Parks and Open Space Plan through our GIS service.
