CLOSURE NOTICE: Beginning May 20, 2013, TxDOT will have a section of SH 5 north of Stacy (in Fairview) closed while the railroad crossing is reconstructed.  The road is estimated to be closed for at least 6 months.

The limits of the closure will be from just north of Sloan Creek Drive (on the south side of the railroad) to about 1500 feet north of the railroad track.  The rest of SH 5 on either side will be open to local traffic, but thru traffic will have to detour.  The posted detour for northbound SH 5 traffic from Allen will be traveling Stacy Road east to Country Club and traveling north on Country Club to SH 5 in McKinney.
