The Allen Senior Recreation Center is a recreation center for persons 50 years of age and older, including their spouses. The center is operated by the Allen Parks and Recreation Department. Offering a variety of programs, trips and special events, activities and classes are low-cost or free. Membership to the center is just $5 a year for residents and $24 a year for non-residents.

The facility houses a state of the art fitness room, craft room, game room, classrooms and a 6,000 square foot multi-purpose room with hardwood floors. Our rooms are used for dancing, yoga, tai chi, ceramics, painting, educational seminars and much more.

If you like to play cards, dominoes, line dance or socialize with friends, then the Allen Senior Recreation Center is for you. The center also hosts trips, extended trips, and a variety of workshops that are relevant to older adults. Registration is required for most activities. We welcome you to join us for lunch. We serve freshly prepared meals every day for members at 12 p.m. for the cost of $4 per meal and $3 for a Garden Salad. Pre-registration is required no later than 9:30 a.m. on the same day. A calendar of menu items is published and posted each month. All menu items are subject to change due to availability. You may register either in person or by phone and you may register up to one day prior.
