Description:  “The Allen Historic Dam” from the artist’s chosen viewpoint.  The painting is an original composition, oil on canvas painting 60 inches x 72 inches. All pigments used are from the highest quality French and Italian sources (historically chosen by the French impressionists for their works) and they are still produced today in the traditional ways and in the same family owned businesses that span well over a hundred years. Amanda Dunbar is very much a purist who chooses to model her studio practices in the most academic and traditional ways. It is her way of respecting the master impressionists and painters who came before her.
