Line Drive Softball Tournament

Batter, Batter SWING!...but not for the fences! Work on placement hitting and defensive skills in the Line Drive Softball Tournament. The shorter field will provide a different challenge for both batters and fielders and homeruns are considered an inning ending out. Saturday, August 28 9 a.m. at Allen Station Park. Adult Athletics Leagues

The Allen Parks and Recreation Department offers sports leagues in Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, softball, volleyball, basketball and flag football. Minimum age required to participate in the league is 15, 17 for soccer. Current information about league registration and seasons is available by calling the Adult Athletics Hotline at 214.509.4810 or online at www.sportsstandings.com/allen.  Registration information packets are located in the "Files Downloaded" section of www.sportsstandings.com/allen.

Free Agent?

If you are looking to pick up a player for your team or would like to form a team, go to www.sportsstandings.com/allen and click on “Files Download” to view the “Free Agent” list.  If you are an individual that wants to be added to the list please email your information (as outlined on the list) to Cheddrick McKee and it will be added to the free agent list.  All specific information about the various leagues, is available at www.sportsstandings.com/allen

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee leagues are offered three times per year: fall/winter, spring and summer. Fall 2010 registration runs 7/5 – 8/11 with a team entry fee of $195. Late registration runs 8/12 – 8/17 with a team entry fee of $210. Seven game season plus play-offs. Season play begins 8/26. For information on how to register for the draft and to be included on a team go to www.allenultimate.com. Designated captains will then register their team with the City. Slow-Pitch Softball

Slow-pitch softball leagues are offered three seasons per year: fall/winter, spring and summer. Fall 2010 registration runs 7/5 – 8/3 with a team entry fee of $345. Late registration takes place 8/4 – 8/8 with a team entry fee is $360. Eight game season plus playoffs. Summer season play begins June 7. All adult softball leagues are sanctioned by TAAF and the Amateur Softball Association. For more information and rules visit www.sportsstandings.com/allen.

Co-Rec Indoor Volleyball

Co-Rec indoor 6-on-6 volleyball leagues are offered three seasons per year: fall/winter, spring and summer. Fall registration runs 8/16 – 9/14 with a team entry fee of $235. Late registration runs 9/15 – 9/29 with a team entry fee is $250. Eight game season plus single elimination tournament. Season play begins 10/4. Leagues are played at various AISD school gyms. Men's Basketball

Full court, 5-on-5, adult basketball leagues are offered three times per year: fall/winter, spring and summer. Fall 2010 registration runs 8/16 – 9/14 with a team entry fee of $425. Late registration runs 9/15 – 9/19 with a team entry fee is $440. Eight game season plus single elimination tournament. Season play begins 10/5. League play is governed by NCAA rules. Flag Football

Three seasons of 8-on-8 flag football leagues are offered. Fall registration runs 7/12 – 8/10 with a team entry fee of $350. Late registration runs 8/11 – 8/15 with a team entry fee of $365. Men's/Coed Soccer
