My Account and Library Catalog

My Account and the Library Catalog are powered by Polaris Library Systems in partnership with the Plano Public Library. Access to these features is provided in the Quick Links menu available on all library pages.
 

Library Cards, Fines and Fees
 

Individuals must be 5 years and older and be able to provide proof of Texas residency in order to apply for an Allen Public Library card. A valid photo ID with current address is required at the time of application and children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them. Renewals can be made online, by calling Telecirc at 972.867.3326 or by calling the library at 214.509.4907.

Past Due

Past due library patron accounts with $25 balances or greater will be turned over to a collection agency, Unique Management Services. Balances include overdue library materials and outstanding fines. Unique Management will assess a $10 late/processing fee and will report debtors to credit bureaus if necessary.
 

Loan Periods

All items

3 weeks + 1 renewal

Fines:

Overdue books, audiobooks, and kits	$.25 daily per item
Overdue videos, DVDs, and Music CDs	$1 daily per item
Barcodes	$3
Video & CD cases	$3 each
Audio case	$5
Audio kit bag	$1
Lost items Replacement cost plus	$5 processing fee
Repairable damage per item	$5
Maximum fine on children's items	$5 per item
Maximum fine on all other items	$10 per item
Library card replacement	$2
