AFD Awards & Recognition

Robert Richards

was the recipient of the AFD Medal of Valor Award for the rescue of an elderly citizen from a structure fire. Richards also received the Texas Fire Chief's Association Valor Award for his heroic efforts

 

 

Robert Spears

was the recipient of the Firefighter of the Year Award from the Allen Sunrise Rotary Club for dedication and outstanding job performance.

 

 

Assistant Fire Chief Kurt Hall

completed the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program. Along with being appointed to the Texas Commission on Fire Protection - Fire Officer Curriculum revision committee

 

 

Fire Chief Bill Hawley

was the Recipient of the 2006 Harvard Fire Executive Fellowship – Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University. Hawley also completed the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program.

 

 

The Allen Fire Department has been selected as a participant in the National Institute of Health Sudden Cardiac Arrest medical research study.
