Finance Department is responsible for planning and maintaining the City's financial health through oversight of the Accounting Division, Budget Division, Purchasing Division and Municipal Courts.

Budget Presentation Award

The City of Allen has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association 9 years in a row. The award is given to local governments that have succeeded in preparing a high quality budget document.

The City of Allen has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association 9 years in a row. The award is given to local governments that go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
