The Water and Sewer Division is responsible for delivering potable water purchased from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). The City of Allen’s Water & Sewer Operations are responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing water lines, valves, fire hydrants, sewer lines and manholes. This division also provides field assistance to customers, inspectors, and contractors. These operations are housed at the Stacy Road Pump Station
Water is pumped into the city's distribution system and stored in elevated and ground storage tanks. The city has ground storage space equal to 26 million gallons and 7.5 million gallon in the elevated water towers that collectively provide 33.5 million gallons of storage space
Sewer Services oversees the collection of all wastewater and its transmission to the wastewater treatment plants. The City of Allen contracts with NTMWD to treat all wastewater generated in the city. This service includes the operation, maintenance and repair of all sewer lines, manholes, and lift stations connected to the wastewater collection system.
Although our water and sewer division utilizes a number of methods to evaluate and maintain our water and sewer system, there may be a time when there is an emergency. If this occurs, be sure to call our 24-hour Emergency Services staff at 214.509.4530.
