The Allen Fire Explorer Post 1953 is currently accepting new recruits. The Post gives youth, ages 15 to 21, the opportunity to explore fire fighting and emergency medical services to determine if it is a career they would be interested in pursuing. Explorers are exposed to fire department operations, which include, structural fire fighting, emergency medical services, hazardous materials, special rescue and the 9-1-1 emergency operations center. Imagine a winter with no warm coat, hat or gloves! Unfortunately, there are children in Allen who face that prospect every year. We have joined forces with Rotary Club of Allen to change that situation with the Coats for Kids Campaign. You can drop off a new coat for a child at any Allen Fire Station. Learn more.

We are looking for career-minded individuals with paramedic and fire fighter certifications to join our Allen Fire Department team. We offer ongoing training opportunities along with the ability to gain experience in both emergency and non-emergency services.
