  1. Collin County Master Gardeners Garden Show

    Don’t miss The Garden Show, presented by the Collin County Master Gardeners Association. The seventh annual event will be blooming with new and creative ideas, classes, vendors, and activities for the whole family. Learn about North Texas gardening, and Earth-Kind® gardening principles from some of the state’s top horticulture experts. City of Allen Water Conservation will host a booth at this event. Stop by the tent for a free gift!

  2. Allen Railroad Days Exhibit

    March 19, 2017, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Allen Heritage Center (Historic Train Depot)

    The Allen Heritage Guild presents a modular train exhibit, free to public, with over 100 models of freight, passenger and work trains drawn by steam and diesel engines, representing various southwestern railroads. The Allen Train Depot, a typical Houston and Texas Central station is represented in miniature, as it appeared in 1942 before it was destroyed by fire. Model train experts will be available during the exhibit for free appraisals and identification. For the youngsters, there will be wooden railways that they can operate. Also, videos of Steam and Diesel operations during the 1950's and 60's will run thoughout the show. The Allen Senior Center "Train Guys" will have a drawing for model train sets on March 19 and March 26.

  3. "Marie Renfro: Then and Now" Art Exhibit

    Color and creativity best describe Marie Renfro's paintings in oil or acrylic. A very versatile artist, Marie enjoys using various media to express her emotional response to a subject. Her work has received numerous outstanding awards and is included in major collections. She holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton and has studied in several European countries. Exhibited artwork can be purchased at the gallery, along with books by Amanda Dunbar and Jaqcueline Woodson.
