New Adopters

Welcome to the Adopt-A-Program recruitment page! We're looking for groups and individuals to join the program as either a FORMAL ADOPTER. In 2015, participants cleaned up more 134 miles of Allen roadways, waterways, and spots removing 11, 502 lbs from the environment.

Groups or individuals interested in becoming a FORMAL ADOPTER must go through a probationary training period. The program requires that each adopter complete a min of 4 cleanups per year, participate in Allen Recycles Day & the Great American Cleanup, submit a statistic report & photos after each cleanup.

NOTE: There will be a new adopter interest meeting in the Allen City Hall Conference Room B at City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, TX 75013 on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 6 pm. Please make plans to attend.

PROBATIONARY REQUIREMENTS


  • Order/Pickup supplies
  • Return supplies/Submit Statistics/Email cleanup pictures to Jdiaz@cityofallen.org
  • Complete four cleanups (time frame is up to you)
NOTE: You must successfully submit pictures and statistics within 10 days of completing cleanup.
Once probationary requirements have been met, you'll need to go through verification to make sure the office have received all your statistic reports and pictures.

VERIFICATION



  • Email Josué Diaz at jdiaz@cityofallen.org a probation verification request.
    • Include the dates of each cleanup.
Once verified your group is eligible to formally adopt an area in Allen. Now you can go through the FORMAL ADOPTER adoption process.

FORMAL ADOPTER PROCESS


  • Complete a New Adopter orientation
  • Sign a contract
  • Pick up adopter’s supply bag
Once you've become a FORMAL ADOPTER a sign will be put in place sometime within the first year of your adoption. 

NOTE: It is the responsibility of ALL adopters to complete the contract terms and to keep the Adopt-A-Program staff up-to-date of any contact information changes that might affect reminders, notices, and contract renewals.
