With a participant to instructor ratio of 6-to-1, expect plenty of individualized attention as divers learn basic skills such as take-off, hurdle, jump, forward and back dives. Pre-requisite: Student must be able to demonstrate safe
COAST is a summer only swim program and is part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, and sponsored by the City of Allen Parks and Recreation Department. COAST participates in weekly meets with other area TAAF teams, with the opportunity to advance to the TAAF State Games of Texas. All C.O.A.S.T. practices are held at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium. Register in person at the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium. Swimmers are split into two age groups, 13 and older and 12 and under. Intermediate and Beginners have their choice of session times.

C.O.A.S.T. Practice Schedule Ages 13+ 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.
Advanced Group Ages 12> 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Intermediate/Beginner Ages 12> 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. | 10:15 - 11:00 a.m. |
Beginner Ages 12 and Under 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.

Off Season Practice
C.O.A.S.T. does not offer
- All swimmers must adhere to the TAAF rules regarding
- Swimmers are allowed unlimited practice time between May 1 and December 31
- Swimmers are limited to 90 minutes per week between January 1 - April 30
Any C.O.A.S.T. swimmers interested may participate in the TAAF Winter Games, held every January. Information is distributed to stroke clinic participants and through the COAST email list. For more information, contact the Aquatic Program Supervisor, at 214.509.4772.
