Each year the City of Allen reflects on the accomplishments and achievements that make Allen a great place to call home. In 2015-2016, our city was recognized nationally for its amenities for young families, healthy housing market and low crime rate, proving there's a lot to like in Allen!

  • Allen hit a new population milestone in 2016, with 94,327 people calling Allen home.
  • The City of Allen received AAA/Aaa bond ratings from both Moody's and Standard & Poor's, becoming one of only seven Texas cities with that distinction.
  • Allen Senior Recreation Center celebrated ten years of operation.
  • The Cottonwood Creek Trail Bridge opened to the public, linking trails on east and west sides of Allen. The bridge features Allen's latest public art installation, Current Drift.
  • The City of Allen's public art program celebrated ten years of cultural improvement and citywide beautification.
