Adult Summer Reading 2015

Escape the Ordinary, June 6 - August 2
Participate in the Adult Summer Reading program! No registration required. You don't even need a library card! All you have to do is be 18 or older and turn in your reading log(s) in person to the Reference desk by 5pm Sunday, August 2 to be eligible for the final prize drawing.

The Basics
Earn prizes for reading materials you enjoy! You may read any adult or teen titles you want! Audio books and ebooks count, too! Just make sure you read/listen to all titles between June 6 and August 2.

You may choose to read by time or by title.

2. Record
Stop by the Library to pick up a reading log and keep track of the time or titles you read.

3. Earn Prizes!
Bring in your Reading Log to enter for a chance to win a prize. You may return your logs to the Reference desk anytime between June 6 and August 2. All reading logs must be returned in person by 5 p.m. August 2 in order to be eligible for the final prize drawing. You do not need to be present to win.

Participation
At Allen Public Library, everyone is a winner! Get a free book just for reading! (One book per person while supplies last.)

Every 1 book OR 5 hours read- be entered into a weekly drawing for a $20 gift card from Target, Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks, or the Library's own Food for Thought Café! We have seven of each gift card.

Prize drawings will be held weekly on Wednesdays beginning on Wednesday, June 24. All winners will be notified by 5 p.m. the day of the drawing.

  • Tuesday, August 4
All participants who turn in reading logs will automatically be entered to win one of three $50 gift cards to the Watters Creek shopping center. The drawing for the Watters Creek gift cards and the $20 gift cards for the last week of summer reading will be held Tuesday, August 4.
