CAD Submittals

The Allen Fire Department has recently implemented a Computer Aided Design (CAD) plan submittal program. This program was created to save you and the Fire Department time, money and storage space.

The current plan review and permit application fees will apply. Permit fees are due at time of submittal along with permit application. Fees are payable by cash, check, or credit card (Visa or Mastercard.)  A permit is not issued until plans have been approved. Reviewed plans must be on site. Working without a permit or reviewed plans will result in a fine.

Please note that at this time, building plan reviews for building permits issued by the Allen Building Department and Civil Engineering are not being accepted by the Fire Department via electronic submission.  Please follow those departments' submittal policies. 

Submittals


CAD submittals will be provided to the Allen Fire Department in .pdf format by email to firecad@cityofallen.org.

Product specifications, hydraulic calculations and battery calculations may be submitted in a .doc, .pdf or .txt format.   All plans must include a digital signature. 

Permit Application & Fees

Permit Application must accompany plans. Permit applications can be printed from our website or picked up at Fire Administration Offices. Application should be faxed, mailed or delivered in person to the Fire Marshal's Office.

Reviews


Review of submitted plans will be noted on the returned .pdf format.  The phrase "AFD REVIEWED" will appear on reviewed plans.  Plans are not considered reviewed until this phrase is placed onto the plans.  As with paper submittal, all plan reviews are subject to field verification.
