Water Conservation & Water Resource Management Plan

Recognizing the need for efficient use of existing water supplies, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has developed guidelines and requirements governing the development of water conservation and drought contingency plans for public water suppliers.

The City Plan
A new plan was approved by City Council on April 22, 2014. The new plan is entitled, "Water Conservation & Water Resource Management Plan for the City of Allen, Texas." This new plan was implemented on May 1, 2015.

The City Plan was adopted through Ordinance Number 3219-4-14 on April 22, 2014, and can be found online in Municode. The City Plan’s strategies include restricted and modified outdoor watering practices, as well as a rebate program.
