About Internal Affairs
The Internal Affairs Unit investigates accusations of employee misconduct, inspects departmental operations for maximum efficiency, and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures. The unit is also responsible for developing new policies and procedures, such as General Orders.

The unit also conducts employment background investigations, administers entry-level testing, and recruits new officers. The Internal Affairs Unit was created in 1998.
